This versatile accessory that satisfies requirements not only for everyday wear, but as a wardrobe extension. Like the classic little black dress, it moves from day—with a coat as a cowl or scarf-like accessory—to evening as an elegant wrap that shows off beautiful lace work in both the front and back.

A lace-lover’s dream to knit and to wear, this unique wrap requires no pins or closures. Lightweight, it folds flat making it an ideal accessory for any travel wardrobe.

The shawl is knit flat and worked in three sections as one long rectangle before being joined into a circle. The center section is lace knitting where both right and wrong sides are patterned. The two side sections, which mirror each other, are knit as lace on the right side with a row of plain knitting on the wrong side.

Gauge in pattern: 22 sts/22 rows = 4 inches in pattern (blocked)
Measure around the upper arms to determine final length to knit.
Garment requires two skeins of Brooks Farm Yarn, Solo Silk.

The hand-dyed yarn used in this accessory has subtle variegation that adds depth to the design but does not detract from the lace pattern.
