This pattern is perfect for Cherry Tree Hill’s Broad Band Supersock Select yarn. It is lovely and great to use. I chose two different, but closely related, colorways to create interest. The shawl uses 1620 size 6/0 Miyuki glass beads that are hooked on with a size US 13/14 steel crochet hook.

Shawls such as this lend themselves beautifully to the addition of beads. If you are “bead squeamish”, simply leave out the beads and work the stitches that should have a bead as a simple knit stitch. You still have the gorgeous lace panels.

This is a nice, usable shawl. It looks great worn with the deepest section at the back, front, or even over one shoulder, or tied around waist or hips.
