Your lucky hat for flyball tournaments!

This hat features two lanes with jumps, a bouncing line, and a box. You can choose your designs for the decrease area. Balls are shown, but the pattern includes bones and hearts as well.

About this hat:

One size fits all teens & adults

Featured designs: flyball jumps, flyball box, ball, heart, bone

Yarn: Fingering weight (KnitPicks Palette or similar), one ball each of 4 colors (MC, CC1, CC2, and white).

Needle: #3, 16” circular or dpns (or size to get gauge)

Note: You are welcome to put whatever words you like around the bottom of the hat. BALL CRAZY is included but anything you can fit into the round is fair game! Maybe your team name, dog’s name, or motto? :-)

UPDATE 2/11/17:

Just a tip (the PDF is not changed). I recently learned the STUART method - http://techknitting.blogspot.com/2016/10/taming-long-floa... - and it is FABULOUS for keeping an even tension in between the jumps. I’d probably put two catchment columns spaced evenly between the jumps.

If you’re comfortable using a crochet hook to fix a dropped stitch, you can do STUART.

Keep catching until you get to the the point where your next row would be 100% main color. In the MC-only row, that’s when you’ll want to unravel and rehook twice. (the URT of STUART)
