Flying Scotsman
Flying needles (even with fairisle and cables !)

For this one I wanted both fairisle and cables - but both have been simplified to make them as quick and simple as possible.

The cables are actually mock cables - no cable needle and without any twisting of the stitches - really quick and relaxing.

The fairisle is over 17 rows, but only 9 rows involve two colours - so that limits the fiddly bit - but still provides the impact of fairisle.

Knit the fairisle section with a self-striping yarn to make the colourwork look more complicated without any extra knitting effort.
