1300 to 1400 size 8/0 beads, charlottes offer the most sparkle.

Three types of beading are used in these mittens. The knitting is pretty straight forward - it is the beading that makes these spectacular!

  • beaded cast-on
  • beads between stitches
  • knitted in beaded patterns

Keep the first pair simple with only a single colour - branch out into coloured patterns as you gain confidence with the knitted in beads.

These mittens are reverse engineered. They start at the hand and work their way to the cuff, fourchettes and thumb gusset are also reverse engineered.

Full instructions for beading and stringing your beads are included as well as grafting instructions.
