I released a pattern a few years ago featuring colorwork that brought to mind Moroccan arabesque tiles. I’ve been toying with the idea of redoing the pattern in thick, cozy yarn, taking away the lace and adding fringe for extra style. This is the result.

The crochet pattern is in filet crochet using two colors woven together. In this way, you get a lovely scarf that looks much more difficult than a simple double crochet chain one pattern would achieve.

I’ve used a variegated aran weight yarn coupled with a thick and thin worsted in a solid. I think this would be lovely in two solids or even two variegated yarns.
