From Estonia - with Love
Do you love lace knitting? Yes! Then this triangular bottom-up lace shawl is for you - with love to all lace knitters!
Yarn: any cobweb or lace yarn is good for this shawl. Please be aware that heavier yarn (100g=1200m, or 100g=1000m) will require larger needles and more yarn, and the shawl’s measurements increases too.
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1½) - 3 mm (US 2½),
for knitted cast on use 1.5-2 number of larger needle than those used for the body of the shawl. Also you need one DPN in same size for three needle bind off.
In this pattern gauge isn’t important, but you could swatch a pattern repeat to make sure the lace will not be too loose.
Shawl’s size depend on your yarn and needles. Here are two samples:
Lilac shawl is knitted with needles 2.5 mm, it is 167 cm wide and 95 cm height (blocked);
White shawl is knitted with needles 2.75 mm, it is 190 cm wide and 95 cm height (blocked).
Pattern is full charted and the charts are also written out. Also there are some explanations and tips to facilitate your knitting. There are 19 pages,11 pages are with charts and 7 pages are descriptions of charts.
This pattern is not very difficult, but requires some experience in lace and nupps knitting.
