One of my favourite things about winter is the whimsical quality it brings the earth. Nothing brings whimsy quite as much as hoar frost. The way it clings to the world, not discriminating, is stunning. Add some sunshine and the world around you glistens and shimmers as if it has been doused in sparkles. This hat comes from those moments of warm sun, biting cold, and glittering surroundings.

With a relaxed gauge and utilizing only two stitches on a simple repeat, this hat will allow you to knit curled up fireside while gabbing with a friend. Try an indulgent yarn to elevate it to a classic, cozy winter staple.
