Recently, as I drove down the highway, a car with the license plate, “FUNMARY” maneuvered quickly past me. My mind started to wander about what FUNMARY must be like, and what she’d wear. I dreamt up this almost seamless, cleverly constructed, DK weight sweater. It features rickrack ribbing trim, and shawl collar. It has front pockets for your phone and keys, and a simple 1 x1 ribbed belt to tie it closed on cool mornings. Pockets for your keys and cell phone really do make it perfect for driving!

Materials
• 32-47”/81-120 cm/US size 8/5 mm circular needle, or size to match gauge; 2nd needle of similar length recommended.
• 442-792 gr/1121-1966 yds/1024-1797m DK weight yarn.
• Removable stitch markers
• Stitch holders
• Optional: set of double point needles US size 8/5mm or 16”/40cm US size 8/5 mm circular needle for sleeve knitting

Pattern notes: FUNMARY is knit bottom up, in one piece with shoulder seams, and a back collar seam that uses kitchener stitch. There is a back waist ribbing detail. Sleeves are knit top down on a dropped shoulder. Pockets are joined in the body of the sweater as you knit. The inner pocket may be contrasted and is sewn down in finishing.

Fit notes: FUNMARY is designed with 4-6” positive ease, and a drop shoulder for a slouchy look. Back waist ribbing gives light shaping, in addition, there is a small bit of side shaping. The belt is optional and can be left off, if you like to wear your cardigans open.
