Gail’s Soft Waves
Fleece-lined hooded baby cocoon

Baby cocoons have been around for a while, but it wasn’t until I saw one that had been lined with fleece that inspiration hit the Crafty Curl. This pattern is designed to be warm and stretchy.

A sewing machine is recommended for this project, used to sew elastic onto fleece with zig zag stitch.

A rotary cutter, mat, straight edge, and skip blade are also useful, but sharp scissors can do the job.

Materials:
Size N Hook, Size F Hook
Lion Brand Hometown USA super bulky yarn
4 skeins – 4 oz Ocean
2 skeins – 5 oz Charlotte Blue
6 buttons (I used ¾” inch)
3/8” elastic, approx. 2 ½ yards
½ yard coordinating fleece
