Hood Baby Set

In January 2015 I was asked to complete a gift set of a baby afghan and bonnet. The woman who brought the project to me said her mother-in-law had started it before she passed, and that it was intended as a future baby gift for her granddaughter. No pattern was included, so I went to work analyzing the pattern of the afghan. Before I got too far, a friend identified it as the “Jamie” pattern that was printed on the labels of Jamie yarn of Lion Brand. A knitted bonnet was also to be a part of the set, so I had a knitting friend recreate that for me. Meanwhile, with just a bit of leftover yarn I created a crochet bonnet to match the afghan and finished it off with some white edging.
