Subtle enough for a man’s taste, but soft enough to suit anyone. This luxuriously squishy hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The understated pattern is achieved by interchanging simple garter stitch with an alternating garter/stockinette stitch “brick” pattern. Can be worn with the brim folded up, or left down.

Sized for Women, with Men’s size in (brackets).

Materials:

  • Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky yarn, 100-105 yards
  • size US 8 (5.00mm) circular needles – I used 33” long, and Magic Loop
  • end-of-round marker
  • yarn needle

Stitches & Techniques:
K (knit), P (purl), K2tog (knit 2 sts together)
