There was a small mistake in the instruction for the heel turn, row 2 should read : Sl1, P4, P2tog, P1, turn (again leaving 12 sts unworked) Pattern has been updated - sorry.

A lace pattern with classic alpine motifs, including the “Russische Nahtl” (Russian seam), created for the May challenge of the 2012 SKA Sockdown.

Not test knitted, and lace is not really my forte, so please be patient and let me know if anything is not clear enough…
