Yarn is used double-stranded throughout. One strand of fingering-weight yarn could be substituted, but using
double-stranded laceweight alpaca makes the finished scarf warm, yet incredibly light as men’s scarves go. Double stranding the handpainted colorway makes for an colorful moire effect - interesting, yet subtle enough for a conservative man to wear.

Scarf may be widened or narrowed by adding or subtracting multiples of 8 stitches from cast-on row.

My difficulty rating: easier than pie.
