(from Nancy Bush’s pattern description)

"The introduction for this sock design in Weldon's calls the pattern a "complete change from the usual plain-knitted article."   The original leg measured 12" (30.5cm) long, and the foot measure 10" (25.5cm) long.  It is a large sock, perfect for a man with a U.S. shoe size 11 or larger.  To make a smaller size, you need to use smaller needles or reduce the number of stitches in the pattern.  This sock has a Round Heel and Wide Toe."
