GEORGE BEAR TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
George is a well-dressed bear, with his waistcoat and bow tie. This little bear stands at just 14cm tall, and is quick to knit if you are looking for a little project for the weekend.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the bear, waistcoat and bow tie plus photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 4 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases and sew seams. This pattern uses a long tail cast on and backward loop cast on.
YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- A pair of straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
- Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight) in brown, red and black
- Toy filling
- Small black buttons for the eyes
- A stitch holder
