The afghan is large enough to use as a crib blanket and will fit the child to 8 to 10 years old. All 3 items are completely child friendly and are machine wash (mild soap, gentle cycle) and machine dry (low temp). Gauge is not important for any of these items. A small, plastic easter egg (or similar size container) and 2 jingle bells are used for the rattle.
