Glass Wood and Hemp Crocheted Necklace

BONUS! This necklace can be triple wrapped and worn as a bracelet also.

Super easy crochet pattern. An ideal gift item or if you’re making merchandise for craft fairs. In my other incarnation I am a full time jewelry designer and owner of BonnieAngela Jewelry and Accessories. I began designing hemp jewelry in our jewelry business to fill a void in the marketplace. We have many popular designs that are difficult for me to keep up with in finished production so I have added them as patterns to our pattern design business.

I enjoy working with hemp! It has a wonderful versatility, wearability, and is very transitional for jewelry. it can be surprisingly very elegant or very casual. The crochet is simple and straight forward. This pattern employs only basic chains with Trc clusters.

Mostly they are fun to make and fun to wear! We’ll have many more designs in this line coming so please visit our store to see our updates.

Materials

.5 mm hemp (NOTE* if hemp is not available you could also use a No. 5 cotton crochet thread)

  • 12 (10-15 mm) lampwork art glass beads (NOTE: * you might also want to experiment with wood, kiln fired clay, metal, or other types of beads. If you’re thinking of using stone however, it is difficult to drill holes large enough through stone to accommodate the width of the hemp. Keep this in mind when making your selections.)

  • Five 1-1/4” geometric wood beads
