Pattern includes illustrated instructions for the fur stitch used in the gnome’s beard and written instructions for working two colors in one row.

Finished size is about 6 1/2 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches tall, which is roughly the size of the mushroom home pattern also included in this download.

Skills required: slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, embroidery stitches of your choice.

Double-layered potholder begins at bottom of boots and is worked in rows to top of head. Boots, jacket, face, hat, and pants require only small amounts of yarn (about 10-20 yards each), back and beard require 1 ball white.
