Shifting columns of slipped stitches break up pooling when worked in variegated or tonal yarn and add visual interest to socks worked in solid yarn.  Goodin Socks are worked from the cuff down beginning with a slipped stitch rib cuff and include an eye of partridge heel.

Yarn Requirement:
Fingering weight yarn, 260 - 430 yards (238 - 393 m)
Yardage required will vary based on Size and foot length. For reference, Size M - 9 inch heel-to-toe sock, fits a Women’s U.S. Size 7 (U.K. 5, Euro 37.5) foot and requires approximately 330 yards (302 m).

Needles:
US 1 (2.25 mm) set of 5 double-pointed needles
The pattern is written for a set of 5 dpns but can be adapted for a set of 4 dpns or magic loop using a circular needle.

Other Materials:
Locking or Open Stitch Marker to mark beginning of round (optional)
Tapestry Needle

Charts of the Cuff Rib, Leg, and Instep stitch patterns are included and are intended to supplement, not replace, the written instructions.
