♫ The Music ♫
Celtic music provides the spark for many Impeccable Knits designs. So it was with this design which began with the tune Farewell to Govan - a lovely, soothing tune by Scottish composer Phil Cunningham who created it for a stage production. Govan, a settlement whose rich history dates back before the 9th century, is situated on the south bank of the River Clyde and today is part of the city of Glasgow, Scotland.

Brighten any day with this wonderfully bright and easy cabled cowl! Knit in the round beginning with a stretchy cast on, it comes in 8 sizes.

Note: The crochet hook listed above is only required if the knitter chooses to use the Crochet Cast On -- the knitter may choose their own favourite stretchy cast on instead.

The top and bottom borders are worked in Garter stitch in the round while the central portion is worked in the cable pattern stitch. The cable pattern only requires the knitter to work 2 types of cables – a 1 over 2 Right Cross and a 1 over 2 Left Cross - so this is a great beginner cabling project.

Both a chart and written directions for the chart are provided and a table is included for choosing the correct size circular needle.
