Each square measures about 12" × 12" (30.5 × 30.5 cm). With a 2" (5 cm) border, finished blanket measures about 52" × 64" (132 × 162.5 cm).

I first learned about intarsia from my father’s knitting, so it seemed only fitting to name this afghan after him. My father is quite the Renaissance man. In addition to knitting, playing the harp, and raising rare breeds of tropical fish, he is an avid gardener. He has shared that passion with my children through regular afternoons spent in his garden, planting seeds and watching them grow. They help him harvest
fruits and vegetables, most of which he donates to local food pantries. And then of course, there are the flowers… .
