Kate Greenaway’s illustrations in children’s books such as Mother Goose and Under the Window have been longtime favorites. The stylish clothes in her watercolors were widely influential both then and now, and the romantic nostalgia of her empire-line dress with frilled neck and sleeve was my inspiration for this design.
