I love simple knitting, combining beautiful yarns with modern takes on simple and classic designs. This pattern makes me think of springy eyelet dresses and spring and summer evening bonfires in my beautiful home state of Maryland.

Each mitt is worked from the bottom up, the thumb gusset is begun from the beginning of round so the front and back of each mitt are identical, with no need to make specific Right and Left Mitts. Make Two!!!!

A note on yarn:
I used Malabrigo sock yarn but this should work nicely with ANY sock or fingering/light fingering yarn as long as you get gauge after blocking, make what works and feels good for you!!
