Behind the pattern:
I imagined this cowl in 90” Maryland heat, dreaming about long hikes with my boyfriend through the Pentland hills near his home in Scotland. The pique leaf design reminds me of the brambles and vines snaking their way into the paths and snagging my clothes and skin. The “half hearts” (or as I think of it, trailing hearts) cable reminds me of the tattoo my boyfriend has around his arm, a symbol for protection.

Pattern Construction:
This cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up (or top down, I love the cable either way!! It is so versatile!) In a bulky or chunky weight yarn! The finished cowl is 13” wide and 12” tall.
