PRESENTATION

Hanabi sont des chaussettes en jersey et jacquard crées en collaboration avec Lyly Sur Un Fil. Le thème étant le Nouvel An au Japon, j’ai voulu créer un Feu d’Artifice sur ces chaussettes grâce à des motifs très évocateurs du Pays du Soleil Levant.
Les orteils, les pieds et les talons sont tricotés simplement pour garder le plaisir du jacquard sur les jambes. Ensuite, quartier libre pour illustrer tes chaussettes avec des Carpes Koï ou un déroulé scénique de Poissons, Nénuphars, Lanternes et Feux d’Artifices.

INTRODUCTION

Hanabi are jersey and stranded work socks. With a theme of New Year Celebration in Japan, I wanted to create a fireworks display on these socks using motifs highly evocative of the Land of the Rising Sun.
The toes, feet, and heels are simply knitted to preserve the pleasure of the stranded patterns on the legs. Then, it’s up to you to decorate your socks with Koi carp or a scenic display of fish, water lilies, lanterns, and fireworks.

Circular needle or DPN giving gauge, suggested sizes:

• US 1½ (2,5mm) for toes, feet, and heels
• For the Stranded Work:
  • US 2 (2,75mm) for T1, T2; T4 and T5
  • US 2½ (3mm) for T3.

Others: markers and cable needle.

In stranded work in the round with US 2 gives: 30sts / 38rounds in 4”.
