Aside from my knitting business, I work as a veterinary nurse. One day while at work I put a sweater on an anesthetic patient
(to help keep them warm) and one of my friends/fellow vet nurse told me that the sweater used to belong to her beloved
dog whom she had lost a few years back. The sweater had adorable little squirrels on it framed by fair isle motifs. My friend
also is a wildlife rehabber and cares for many squirrels each year. So I used this little dog sweater as inspiration for a happy
squirrels hat design that I created and made, and gifted the hat to my friend for Christmas.

This hat is worked in an aran weight yarn. The pattern gives you the option of making a single or double brim and has colorwork charts for using all five colors as I did or just two colors. Top it off with a pom pom if desired.
