Harajuku is named after Harajuku subway in Tokyo, and is the birth place of this Lolita-meets-cutesy-meets-girly-meets-gothic-meets-colourful style of fashion. Harajuku now pretty much stands for non-conformity and rebelling against strict societal rules and pressure to fit in.

Harajuku is about standing out and being different. It’s everything I tried to incorporate into the design of my somewhat bold hat.

The pattern is super beginner friendly and requires no sewing! You can make this up in an evening with just knowledge of basic stitches!
