Step out in style with this glamourous beaded cowl, perfect for protecting your hair on a windy day or just for injecting some old-Hollywood sparkle into your outfit. Wonderfully flexible, it can be draped like a shawl, pulled up as a headscarf or worn double for neck warmth.

Needles: 3.5mm (US 3) 60cm (24in) circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge

1 stitch marker
0.6mm (US 14) crochet hook for beading
Approx. 1500 (40g) 8/o silver seed beads

Gauge: One repeat of Chart B measures 8cm (3in) widthwise and 10cm (4in) lengthwise after blocking. Gauge is not critical.

Size: Approx. 104cm (41in) circumference and 45cm (17½in) from bottom edge to top.

Pattern includes charts and written instructions; Harlow can be worked from either. Beads are added with a crochet hook and the edges are scalloped by working a special dropped stitch. More information on both of these techniques is included in the pattern.

Harlow has been fully tech edited. I am very grateful to my wonderful tech editor Rachel Atkinson.
