Using the main motif from the Hatteras Hat I designed a pair of quick fingerless gloves using some leftover bulky yarn. These can be worked in one color, or two as pictured.

The cable pattern is mirrored for added interest and has alternating purl and knit sections to mimic the design of the Hatteras Lighthouse.

Mitts shown in: Classic Elite Ariosa in 4827 Sangria and Malabrigo Chunky in Glazed Carrot
Approxiamate yardage: 100yds (92m) of wool-based yarn (or yarn that will take ribbing) for solid color; 30yds of ribbing color and 70 yds of main color for two tone.
Difficulty: Easy Intermediate to Intermediate.
