This beautiful cowl is designed to keep the wind from blowing down your neck on a cold day - The drawstring and toggle keep the top snug around your neck, and the Latvian braids and stranded color work make sure that you look great!

The cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. The top is finished with a folded hem which doubles as the enclosure for the drawstring. The pattern includes detailed instructions for the Latvian Braid and the 3-needle bind-off on the folded hem. The pattern is written, and the color work is charted. The pattern has been tested.

Yarn needed: DK or Worsted weight: MC: 140-150 yards (shown in White); CC: 160 - 180 yards (shown in light blue)
