The button flap on this pillow is composed of five rows of single crochet added after the fact, for a rich combination of texture. The pattern is quite simple and beginner-friendly, and is a simple one for working intarsia.
Pattern includes a chart with all but the selvedge stitches on it. The pattern can be followed from both the writing and the chart, so it is friendly to knitters who aren’t as visual as others- particularly me!

The second chart contains the single crochet border; the first does not. It is the first chart that is included in the pattern pdf.
