It is approximately 57” wide (4.75 ft.) by 58” tall (4.83 ft.) using U.S. 15 size needles.

The yarn suggests U.S. 13 needles, so using U.S. 15 needles makes the afghan more “squishy.” To make a bigger afghan, you can use two strands of yarn (double the yarn requirements) and use U.S. 17 needles. Use U.S. 13 needles for a slightly smaller afghan.

The Heart and Lips pattern are in stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch. The X’s and O’s pattern uses cable stitches. There’s a garter stitch border around the entire blanket.

The patterns are individually written out and there are 4 charts, when taped together, that show the whole pattern in chart form.
