Looking for the perfect pattern for that coveted skein of cashmere or silk? This cowl will show off that beautiful yarn. Wrapped once, twice, or three times around the neck it is as light as a feather and soft as silk - or cashmere. This versatile cowl is a dreamy accessory for any season.

The cowl is worked in the round in one piece. No seaming required.

The samples in the photos here are done in SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace (slate) and Malabrigo Silkpaca (azul profundo).

Working gauge: 25 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches 10 cm in St st worked in the rnd, before blocking.

Finished measurements: Approximately 30 inches long and 8 inches wide laid flat; approximately 60 inches in circumference.

Skills required: knitting in the round; knitting lace: k, k2tog, yo, (sl1, k1, psso); blocking lace. It’s also important to be able to cast on and bind off very loosely.

Pattern includes both charted and written instructions for the lace stitch, abbreviations, and notes.
