The inspiration for this scarf is very simple…..the lace patterns themselves. Separately they are beautiful in their simplicity. Together they create a scarf (or stole) that is sure to draw attention wherever you go. They mesh together so beautifully that they create a design that is intricate in appearance, yet wonderfully easy to knit. Each row of lace is busy enough to keep the most experienced lace knitter’s interest, yet simple enough for a beginner to tackle. The wrong side rows are purled with the exception of the garter stitch panels, allowing for a nice rest from the lace.

Finished Size: 15” wide x 72” long (unblocked)
16” wide x 75” long (blocked)

The size of your scarf may vary depending on the yarn used, your gauge, and how many pattern repeats have been done. Less repeats = a shorter scarf. Please remember that the amount of yarn used will vary as well.

Materials Needed: 750 yds. of a fingering weight yarn (19-22 wpi)

** The scarf in the photo was knit using KnitPicks Palette (color: Coriander Heather)….a 100% Highland Peruvian Wool. This scarf would look lovely in a handspun yarn as well as a variety of colors. Just be sure to stay with a solid or semi-solid so the lace pattern doesn’t get lost.**

Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm) needles, Stitch Markers
Gauge (blocked in stockinette): 6.5 sts/ 8 rows per inch
