Some folk are having trouble with the basketweave stitch - this sweater does not use a ‘true’ basketweave, but alternates rows of regular, non raised (UK) trebles with raised (UK) dc to form a more dense basket weave pattern. To do a raised dc, simply work the dc around the front or back of the regular treble posts as you would do if working a RtrB or RtrF.
This should not create more stitches on one side than the other, if you find your work twisting or leaning slightly, block into the correct shape.
