Pattern description from Alterknits: “Leather lacing is worked in a woven herringbone stitch from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns to create this unique cuff. The lacing, while pliable, does take a bit longer to knit than many traditional yarns. Still, this project can be completed in about six hours.”

Finished Measurements: 2.5” wide x 6” in circumference.

Yarn: 1 (100-yard) spool 1mm leather lacing.

Needles: One set straight needles size US 4 (3.5 mm). Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle, crochet hook size E/4 (3.5 mm), bead or button for closure.

Note from Alterknits: “The exact number of ch sts needed for the loop should be determined by the size of the bead or button you choose to use; you want the loop to slide gently around the bead/button and stay in place.”
