This cardigan is a must-have staple of any woman’s fall wardrobe. Very clever seamless construction of the cardigan allows us to exercise our short row skills. The cardigan is knit from the (hexagonal) shoulders down, with a triangular short row opening in the back, picking up the rest of the stitches and knitting straight down to the desired length. For those of us who are a bit rusty with our short rows – the same effect could be reached by knitting the triangular part separately and seaming it nicely in place.
Although the original is knit in Stripe pattern, this cardigan would also look amazing in any hand dyed / space dyed fingering weight yarn – looking forward to seeing your pictures posted!
Instructions are provided for One Size – Small/Medium, using any Sport Weight Yarn. For a larger size, increase the needle size to US size 8, and use Worsted Yarn.

NOTE - This pattern is ABSOLUTELY FREE with yarn purchase thru String Theory! http://www.scarsdalestringtheory.com/
