Designed in July, it has taken me ages to get this pattern online.
I found a quote on perseverance attributed to Confucius:

“It does not matter how slowly you go
as long as you do not stop.”

Please feel free to join my group Nikxi’s Knits - it would be great to see you there!

Histori-cowl is a warm and cosy cowl that knits up fairly quickly in this supersoft, smooshy yarn. It is knitted in the round.
The simple textured stitches add interest and suit the variegated colours well. Indian Cross Stitch bands add visual interest in emphasising the different, vibrant colours.
There is a tutorial included showing how to cross the Indian Cross Stitch in the opposite direction for the second band.

It should be possible to make this from one skein of Manos Maxima and the pattern includes suggestions as to which rows to exclude if your gauge is different from that suggested.

The pattern is written in multiples of 8, so the length of the cowl can be altered by adding or subtracting stitches to achieve a customised length.

Requirements:
1 skein Manos Maxima (100g approx. 200m)
5.5mm (US 9) circular needle (80cm or 1m)
Extra knitting needle to do Indian Cross Stitch reversed (any size)
Tapestry needle
