Nicola Christodoulides

I have always loved making things - over the years I have drawn, painted, made ceramics, sewn my own clothes and knitted my own garments, made silver jewellery, made paper and books, calligraphed, beaded, painted glass… until I discovered feltmaking… and for a long while I learned all I could about feltmaking (there is a link to a rather old site above).
This was all leisure activity as I was a Zoologist and then high school teacher for a number of years.
Then, one landmark day, I met Carle of Nurturing Fibres, and she introduced me to Ravelry and dyeing and the new knitting revolution and we yarn bombed and knitted and nattered … my world became so blessed by the wonderful people I met both online and in real life…
One of those special souls was Gina of Natural Yarns and we have worked together at creating a line of indie-dyed ombre and art yarns called Backward Sheep. The odd design idea has peppered our frequent yarny discussions…
Herewith is the fruit of some of those discussions.

If you wish to join a KAL of any of my designs please have a look at my group Nikxi’s Knits, it would be wonderful to hear from you.
