Tuniisian honeycomb stitches (a combination of Tunisian simple stitch and Tunisian purl stitch) show off this multicolor yarn The skirt is flattering rather than clingy. It has a dense weave --no lining required--yet is lightweight and comfortable. Construction is surprisingly easy. Two identical rectangles are seamed down the sides, then an elastic waist is sewn in.

Hook is size I Tunisian crochet hook. Additional materials: non-roll machine-washable elastic, 1 yd. for sizes X, S, and M, 1.5 yds. for sizes L and XL. Sewing needle and thread.

This pattern begins on p. 36 of Tunisian Crochet: The Look of Knitting with the Ease of Crocheting (pub. date spring 2009).
