Molding the yarn into an Art Nouveau-inspired mix of lace mesh, garter edge detail, and a cabled motif that runs its full length, this wrap shows as much thought in every stitch as Victor Horta put into his masterpiece, Hotel Tassel.

ERRATA NOTE: The cast on suggested is the WINDING cast on (easier than the more complicated version of the Turkish cast on shown in the Technique Pages

Instead of knitting back over the wound stitches proceed directly to the SET-UP ROW. Leave provisional stitches on the spare circular or transfer to a holder. If you wish, you can cast them off (using attached i-cord cast off) already after a few rows instead of waiting until the end.

Under FINISHING: Ignore the instruction to carefully remove waste yarn. There is none to remove! That’s one of the beauties of the Winding Cast On.

Of course, you can use any provisional cast on you prefer.
