This mittens were knitted on a whim, I had this gorgeous handspun alpaca yarn that I was given in a sock exchange, black and white, sitting in my stash and I felt the urge to do something with them. The yarn is so buttery soft that my hands demanded something made for them. So Hotz were born, Hotz means Cold in basque, and you can knit them as I did, making one the negative copy of the other, or you can knit them as a matched pair. You’ll need:

  • 125ms of Color A worsted weight yarn.
  • 125ms of Color B worsted weight yarn.
  • 4mm needles, dpns, circular for magic loop, the one’s you use for knitting in the round.
  • Stitch holder (be it scrap yarn or a needle)
  • Stitch markers (optional).
