this is a pretty simple pair of armwarmers designed especially for Brooklyn Handspun yarn. the cuff has a spiraling cable band, and the hand does not have a thumb gusset to avoid ugly variegated increase bumps. the pattern automatically make a cute little scalloped edge. the cuff is meant to fit tightly, with just enough give from the diagonal rib to slip over your hand. for me, nothing is worse than a pair of gloves that are always slipping off. switching to stockinette in the hand portion and increasing a few stitches gives the hand some room to move.

materials:

-About half a skein of Brooklyn Handspun Instant Gratification yarn (Sample is knit in“Lazy Day” )

-Set of US size 3 (3 ¼ mm) double pointed needles, or large circular needle if you’d prefer to magic loop

-Crochet hook to weave in loose ends

-Scrap of yarn or stitch holder

gauge:

7 stitches and 8.5 rows per inch in stockinette.

size:

This pattern is available in three written sizes, but can be made even smaller or larger in multiples of seven stitches. For the following sizes, the measurements are taken around the knuckles. The tightest part will be around the wrist, so if in doubt, go a size up.
