This felted purse is great for a first time felting project. After knitting the bottom in garter stitch, the majority of the purse is knit in the round. Has an I-Cord strap. The pattern includes i-cord instructions. Also has knit instructions for pocket, to be attached after felting.

If you enjoy needle felting this purse design is wonderful because the flap does not cover the front of the purse. It gives you plenty of room for your unique design. I have added some photos to show needle felting, this pattern does not teach needle felting.

This design can be knit with any worsted wool or wool blend yarn that will felt.

Average Measurements after felting:
Circumference (widest point) = 27 ½ to 31 ½ inches
Circumference (toward top of purse) = 22 to 25 ½ inches
Height of purse (not including strap or flap) = 7 ¾ to 9 inches
Bottom of purse = 5 to 6” x 9”
After felting measurements vary because of differences in individual felting processes.

Hudson was my Daddy’s middle name. I named this purse Hudson in memory of my Daddy, who passed away when I was 2 years old. As of November 2018 I also have a grandson named Hudson.
