Puffins are amazing … they can flap their wings up to 400 times a minute, fly at 88km an hour, and dive 60 metres underwater to find food. Now that takes a lot of huff and puff!

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the puffin is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Worked in stockinette, the puffin uses intarsia colour-work.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and beads for eyes.

One size only - 16cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
