With one skein of handspun yarn, a few hours and the desire to create, we think we might have taken simple gift giving to the next level. The beauty of this project, of course, is two-fold; not only is it extremely fast knitting (think one or two evenings–tops!) but the yarn is so striking, the barberpole effect itself is the only pattern needed. The basic 2×2 ribbing is so simple and satisfying–knitting distilled to its purest form–this project leaves you to focus only on the warm feelings of utter winter coziness.
