The wonderful patterning on Icelandic shawls inspired the lace for this neckwarmer and wristwarmer set. The pieces are knit in the round, starting with a scalloped beginning and ending with a picot cast-off.

On the little neckwarmer, simple spider lace flows into a flared leaf and flower shoulder pattern. Spider lace is repeated on the wristwarmers.

This set looks great in one color or more, as well as in multi-colored yarns. It also is a wonderful single-skein project.

The lace repeats every 6 stitches, so it is easy to customize the width. The set looks great in a variety of lace, fingering, and Shetland/sport/DK weight yarns.
