This is a cropped cardigan in an easy lacy pattern with a deep twisted rib. A front closing with long straps gives a vintage feel. Although the cardigan has positive ease at the bust, at the waist there is no ease and the silhouette becomes an old-fashioned hourglass-shaped one. The yarns are modern though, either a hand-painted merino yarn or a nice solid coloured100% wool.

Sizes: 81 (86, 91, 97, 102) cm, 32 (34, 36, 38, 40)”.
Actual measurement at chest: 89 (94, 99, 106, 110) cm; 35 (37, 39, 42, 43)” (a schematic can be found at the end of the pattern on page 5).
Skills: The cardigan is mainly a simple lace repeat with deep twisted rib borders. The pattern is knitted flat and the panels are seamed together. Some knowledge on how to incorporate shaping while knitting lace is required.

Needles: One pair of 3.75 mm needles (US 5) and one pair of 4.5 mm needles (US 7) or whichever size that is needed to obtain gauge.
Other: a darning needle, one sts-holder, 6 buttons.
