What am I missing?
Thistle Tam
Last winter I knitted a cardigan using Shetland wool which I had bought in Edinburgh when we were visiting the family. I thought that using this wool in stranded knitting with some Thistle like motifs would be a nice thing since my daughters are half-scottish. And my plan was to fully develop it in a cardigan pattern, but things came in between and I although have it partly written, it is not finished at all… But I wanted to do something with the leftovers and the same charts. So here is the result of that…. A small scottish tam.
Skills: There are stranded knitting rounds with three different colours in a round as well as punctuations using purl stitches. The hat has a corrugated rib.
Yarn: Jamiesons Shetland Shetland Spindrift (100% wool 105m/25 gr) : MC (122 Granite): 1 skein, CC1 (268 Dog Rose) 1 skein, CC2 (188 Sherbet) 1 skein, CC3 (102 Shaela) 1 skein.
